Colorado Rockies Information
The Colorado Rockies are members of the National League West Division. They play at Coors Field, which is a home run friendly park because it is by far the highest park in the Major League. This caused designers to push back the outfield fences, making one of the largest outfields in the Major Leagues. Despite this, Coors Field does give up a large amount of homeruns, doubles, and triples. The Rockies have won one National League championship in 2007 and reached the World Series the same year, only to be swept by the Boston Red Sox. They have had three play-off appearances, in 1995, 2007, and 2009. They have no members yet inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame. They have retired only one number, Todd Helton. They also retired the initials of Keli S. McGregor, the team president who was with the Rockies since their inception in 1993.

The Rockies Padres rivalry has been one of the most consistent in recent baseball history, as the two teams have been evenly matched over the last few years, but has not gained too much attention as the two teams have yet to be contenders at the same time. The Rockies also have a rivalry with the Diamondbacks, as both National League West teams have a lot in common, as the only teams in the National League West who were not founding members. This rivalry intensified in the National League Championship Series of 2007, which the Rockies swept. The Rockies and the Giants have a rivalry in that the Rockies always want to beat the Giants, and as they build up their team, this match up will become intense going into the post-season race.
